FIRST GENERATION FUTRONIC

The Futronic test box is the result of a development project with the national telecom authorities in 1995. It fulfilled the increasing need for test and verification of various maritime radio and safety equipment.

SUCCEDED BY FUTRONIC MKII
The first-generation Futronic test box was sold until it was succeeded by the new Futronic MKII in 2012. The workmanship and profound knowledge that went in to the original design is preserved in the new generation. The first generation Futronic is still supported by Danphone, however this tester is no longer manufactured or sold.

We encourage all loyal Futronic MKl customers to upgrade to the latest model - the Futronic MKII.

IMPROVEMENTS MADE FOR FUTRONIC MKII

  • Smaller dimensions and reduced weight. Weight and dimensions of MKII are almost half of the old model.
  • Combined tests, i.e. AIS tests gives you full AIS data information and power measurement results on one test, compared to seperate tests with the old test box.
  • PC Software with many useful options, such as the automatic generation of EPIRB test reports.
  • Connects with your PC or laptop through USB, compared to serial port with the old one (serial ports are being phased out on computers).
  • Considerably longer battery times - one full day of normal operation without re-charging.
  • Power supply and re-charging of the test box needs only 10V (allows for in-car charging on the move) compared to minimum 15V required for the old one.

MKII: FASTER, BETTER, EASIER TESTING

Futronic MKll optimizes the whole radio survey procedure by enabling faster and more simple testing of AIS-SART equipment. All eight AIS-bursts are measured in one set up with the new test box. It also features time-saving AIS and VHF testing by simultaneous measuring of frequency, data and power. As such, the radio surveyors save time during each radio survey. The battery capacity is doubled for longer operational time and the test result prints are aligned with the mandatory reports issued by the classification societies for faster generation of reports.

Danphone continually develop the Futronic platform to meet the latest IMO requirements and improve the test efficiency.
