The Futronic test box is the result of a development project with the national telecom authorities in 1995. It fulfilled the increasing need for test and verification of various maritime radio and safety equipment.
SUCCEDED BY FUTRONIC MKII
The first-generation Futronic test box was sold until it was succeeded by the new Futronic MKII in 2012. The workmanship and profound knowledge that went in to the original design is preserved in the new generation. The first generation Futronic is still supported by Danphone, however this tester is no longer manufactured or sold.
IMPROVEMENTS MADE FOR THE MKII - FASTER AND MORE SIMPLE TESTING
Futronic MKll optimizes the whole radio survey procedure by enabling faster and more simple testing of AIS-SART equipment. All eight AIS-bursts are measured in one set up with the new test box. It also features time-saving AIS and VHF testing by simultaneous measuring of frequency, data and power. As such, the radio surveyors save time during each radio survey. The battery capacity is doubled for longer operational time and the test result prints are aligned with the mandatory reports issued by the classification societies for faster generation of reports.
Danphone continually develop the Futronic platform to meet the latest IMO requirements and improve the test efficiency.
